Its one of the best presentations of the concept. I remember a documentary made on this subject, "THE CUT" , by Norwegian director Linda May Kallestein. The documentary tells the story of two girls from Kenya. Alice, who is in her early 20s, has refused the traditional rite of passage of her tribe, FGM, and suffers from the social consequences of this decision. Mary, a fourteen year old girl is being prepared for being genitally mutilated. The documentary shows her undergoing the preparations for this event.
I'll send you a link from where you can watch the documentary.
