Cotopaxi. The volcano Cotopaxi, 60km far away, spotted from the hotel in Quito. The Cotopaxi is with 5.897 m the second highest mountain of Ecuador and the highest active volcano of the country. Thus it is one of the highest active volcanos of the entire earth. The crate at the top has an area of 800 x 550 m and is 350 m deepl. In the front you could see a suburb of Quito which is about 5 km far away.
