Lisbon, Portugal
I like this statue, despite it being so kitsch. Probably it is because of its location and surroundings.
We are always on a journey.
We never ever stop travelling, not even when we are apparently motionless. Even when it stops, we still travel....somewhere.

if kitsch was a bad thing, how come it is so popular? we have this newspaper (if you want to call it that, yellow press) in germany called "BILD". horrible newspaper. if you asked people, hardly anybody would admit reading it, yet it is the most read and sold newspaper in germany. so: kitsch lies in the eyes of the beholder and if the statue means something to you, does it matter into which drawer it would be thrown?

It looks like something made in Caldas da Rainha. It is simple and beautiful.
Yes, we're always travelling and that's good.
