Thx Paulo, that is a very usable comment, those lines didn't bother me but now you come to mention it... I'll consider give this pic another photoshop cure...

the diagonal and slight curved element on the bottom right and the vertical one on the background, ruin the composition creating a severe imbalance of lines. They are too brightness, creating an ambiguity, because the light is normally expected to stand forward from dark. They distract us and break the depth sensation. Without these 2 elements you might slightly increase the exposure time to enhance the old textures. With your 400D you can use high ISO that in these kind of photos goes very well.

The way you have used the limited light in this series to the effect of underlining the post-industrial gloom of the place is fantastic.
