@Paulo: I did this with photoshop CS3. All pictures in jpeg, as merging 27 RAW files would destroy the RAM memory of my computer. The final image, before joining the 27 layers could be about 1Gb, after joining layers arround 250mb, which is a file which you can work with. Of course the size of the resulting image is really big, but then you just have to reduce this easily with the command 'image size'.

great panorama... very well done. In which program you did this? Normaly, with 4 photos, the result image is too large. How do you manage this issue with 27? Did you shoot in jpeg? can you give more details about this work? Thanks, and congratulations for the fantastic image

The view is wonderful. I recommend Hugin for a restitch. It allows you to indicate which lines should be horizontal.
