Mmmm. As you can see the image is square so some cropping already has done. I believe the beatle is now more set in its environment.. to crop more tight the "beetle" maybe lost and only a "surface" is left.. Can can see you're point however..

Corneel, you have a beautiful image in this photo, why you do not approach more to the beetle and remove everything that this one around it, in my opinion it would be better.
