The Montagne Pelée ("Peeled Mountain") usually is hidden by clouds. This 1,397 m-high volcano erupted in 1902, destroying completely the creole city of Saint-Pierre at the foothill, and killing more than 30,000 people (1973)

    Superb shot. Nowadays we apply cross-processing to get the effect that's in your shot, but which you got by your expertise and finesse in photography.

    In the move to the cloud, my entire "La Martinique" folder was erased. Probably the Amazon server didn't like creole spicy food :-)
    So I upload them again !
