The " Dune du Pilat" is the largest sand dune in the whole of Europe, reaching an incredible height of 103 metres! It is believed to have started forming more than 5000 years ago and due to the movement in the sand is moving inland at around 7 metres every year! There are some helpful steps (190 of them) to get you to the top
Going for the top and coming back nevertheless will acquire a good condition. It's a fantastic and impressive view, very well taken. The people can't be missed, of course.
