Here we finally are with the latest results of the monthly contest of 2009, the December contest.
Oliver (Olmze) helped us out with the jury round. Thank you Oliver you did a great job and we had a great time and a real different result.

At the first place we pick the picture of Abílio Silveira.

I pleasant story of two men coming closer.

The storyboard show two men, sitting, waiting.. they see each other and come closer until they sit next to each other. That makes us wonder which is the original picture and how it was made to come closer!
Well done and well deserved winner !

On the second place we selected the picture of PBX:
Paulo shows us a silhouette against a beautifully coloured
evening sky.
The picture has a very original composition and also takes
effect through its panoramic format.
The light and darks are great and on the left side are
interesting things to discover.
Despite the oppositions - left a lot of motive, nothing
on the right - the whole picture is balanced. This is
because of the sun and the warm colours on the right side.
The person is pulling the viewer's gaze again and again
to himself.

And on the third place we have 3 pictures, so 3 pictures on the third place, sounds crazy but the jury finally decided to give the latest three pictures the third place. We were talking and talking about these last three pictures and couldn't decide. We had all different opinions about the pictures but we also liked them all.
Have a look on this picture of Christian C:
The fabulous reflections in the water are so nice and the colors and the lights really give this shot a warm look.
It really belongs on this third place that also is shared by Zeeg:
We loved the depth in this shot and the little green plant on the enormous dry mud field.
The idea is great and very well seen of Zeeg, the result is nice and we liked them all and therefore this is also a very well deserved third place.
And the last one we were really struggling about is the picture of Kolibri:
We love the view and the colour contrast between the mountain and the grey sky.
Also the foreground gives a great depth in this picture and we couldn't keep our eyes of this shot. Therefore this picture became also a third place winner.
