Each month an ordinary part of daily life will be the subject of our new 2006 photo competition. It is the aim that after 12 months we gather a collection of pictures portraying the diversity of life on our planet.
By choosing common subjects we focus on real life rather than on the exceptional. You can take part by submitting your own or proposing somebody else's picture though the special contest forum. Details about jury and prizes will follow.
Remember what is boring to you might be interesting for others!
Home Sweet HomeShow us how you live. Is it an Igloo, a Tipi a Villa or a Flat.
Take pictures of the interior exterior, from the bedroom, bathroom or toilet. As long as it tells something about your life.
Waste, pollution and environmentHow do we treat our beautiful planet?
Try to make a picture which describes best your feeling towards contemporary life in relationship to a sustainable development.
Social lifeWhat do you do in the weekend, hanging out with friends, going bowling or sitting around the campfire telling stories. Show the world what you do when you are not working or sleeping.
TransportationHow do you go to work, as sardines in a Tokyo subway or walking on a dirt track with a jar of water on your head. Traffic jams, bicycles planes, trains and automobiles.
MoneyOr rather lack of money, is it the salt of the earth? Looking for signs of wealth and poverty and picture them for Woophy. You don't have to take this theme to literately an 'armed response' sign outside a villa can say more about the division of wealth then a picture of some coins.
PeopleThis months theme is about the diversity of people. Like all Woophy pictures the portraits should tell us something about local customs, clothing, way of life etc. Although always nice we are not looking for studio pictures of beautiful women but rather we like characteristic real live people.
StreetNow it is time to show us the village, city or maybe remote place you live. Street life, pictures of buildings, markets in fact any public scenery can be submitted.
HolidaysHow do you spend your Holidays this year? Do you go to exotic places, stay at home or do you search for a job during the Holidays?
Food and drinkNot only one of the most essential things in life also a great mirror of culture. TV-dinners, tapa's and tapioca tell us so much about your specific way of life. Just take a picture of your dinner table and show us.
ShoppingWhere do you get all that wonderful food from the September challenge? Is it a giant hypermarket, a street stall, or a local grocery. And what kind of articles are on display?
WorkAnyone who knows the TV series 'The office' knows what we want this month. We want to see what's on your sticky notes and how boring your colleagues look. Of course if you work on the land, the factory or a hospital we all want to know.
FamilyDecember for a lot of people the traditional family month, are you going to visit your parents in law this holiday season? Show us how you spend time with your family, maybe you have a nice group portrait of everybody gathered around a Christmas tree?
