Probably the biggest ‘sight’ on the island of Ruegen is the KDF bad. A 20,000 rooms big hotel built by Hitler. KDF stands for ‘Kraft durch Freude’, Power through peace. Today this kilometres long building is mostly empty and the authorities are not sure what to do with it. It is to big and to strong to demolish and there is not so much use for such a big building on such a small island.
