Just start photography as a hobby late this summer. did the point and shoot (happy snap) for a few years. Got my Canon xsi and when I get a chance I try to get out to shoot.
I shoot whatever I desire to shot and very rare to I care if I get a "perfect shot" I respect the rules of thirds but I don't like it get in my way when I crop a picture. If the picture is how I saw it when i shot it and it ignores the rule of thirds. Well, so be it.
I love to play around with lightroom presets and I love b/w pix but just because it might look better in b/w does not mean I will convert it b/w.
I will sometimes let you know how I see the shot but I hope you will take from my pictures your own thoughts and feelings.
I shot first and foremost to please myself as I continue to learn the craft.
I don't believe every photograph must be a great work of art, I believe some pix are a simple reminder of a place, thing or time in our life and a quick point and shoot is the way to produce those memories.
I welcome and respect other's opinions and helpful comments on my photos and I reserve the right to disagree.
my favorite subjects to shoot (subject to change) are
My Son
Cute girls/women
signs
everyday objects
macro flowers/bugs/stuff
did I mention cute girls/women?
I got a lot to learn.
