And after a short week-and-a-half leg, during which we had a swim in the Pacific (over 150 miles away from shore, in 3000 meter deep waters) we reached Acapulco.
Getting ready to enter a harbour and recieve all the people who want to see our ship takes its time.
Hours are spent cleaning all the "yellows", painting what needs to be painted, fixing all that is needed, so we can show to the people the [...]
After some delays because of the (very) light winds felt in the area, we finally had a breeze to start the "Regata de Solidaridad" - Solidarity Regatta.
Because of the recent disaster in Chile, we couldn't go to Talcahuano, as it was supposed to be, so [...]
And after the mythical Cape Horn, or Cabo de Hornos, we have arrived in Punta Arenas.
It was the first time in her history as a portuguese ship that Sagres was in Chile.
And it was her first time around the Horn, too. Oh, and lucky me: [...]
Well...
Until now I didn't quite have the time to write in here, and it's been two months since "Sagres" left Lisbon behind to start this one-year journey around the world.
By now we've been in Recife (Brasil), Mar del Plata (Argentina), Punta del Este (Uruguai), Montevideo [...]
So finally a much expected update (if not by you, by me, because this update means that I have more information about the voyage).
After all this time of "negotiations", the trip planning is almost aproved.
