Portugal Woophy Meeting Part II - The Meeting

The principal day of the meeting was Saturday with a boat trip by "Ria Formosa" a natural reserve, around 60 km long, starting in Quinta do Lago (Loulé) and finishing at Manta Rota, near Vila Real de Santo António.

In this day we run a train from Faro to Olhão and then the boat for a trip during all day.

In the end, we had provided a dinner in a restaurant at Faro's marina. This dinner was also the moment where everybody get together, to talk, to change opinions and know better people that we knew only virtually by photos and comments.

Also we had preview to announce the winners of the photo contest in which 25 members had participate... a good number indeed... In that event we had the help of a regional association of photographers - ALFA, who take care of the photos and decided the first three places and Niobo with the prizes. A big THANK YOU to both. :) :)

As we had made contacts with regional authorities of tourism and some firms, we had some prizes to offer and also some T-shirts of Woophy. A big THANK YOU to all the supporters. :) :)

From the dinner, the contest and the distribution of small prizes I don't have any photos ... ( I was announcing them ;)...) but you can see them from other participants in the forum.

The meeting started with a briefing in the night before...

Arriving at Culatra. This is the part of the island with more habitants, mostly fishermen.

In Farol Island we had a special view. The sea show it's happiness in receiving us there.

... and time to lunch. We were treated like princes and princesses by this efficient, friendly and cheerful girl. Thanks my dear.

Before leaving... time for a photo group. Some was yet near the boat... so... only half...

The trip was almost finished. Time to return, get a bath, dress for dinner and enjoy a splendid "meat cataplana" and a "fish cataplana".

Also time to award the photo contest winners and distribute some tradicional handycraft stuff and other prizes.
