RARO RETURN

We have returned from Rarotonga in the Pacific, where the WARMTH wraps itself around you like a blanket. Where the sea provides an amazing array of creatures to swim with, on the reef. AND the company of 12 people was heartwarming & sharing. I will begin to up load some pics from our time there.

I went to Raro around 1970. My father, mother & younger brother & sisters were over there for 3 years while dad helped build the new concrete runway for the airport. The journey took 6 days from Auckland on the inter Island trader, the MV Mona Roa. We followed a storm for 5 of those 6 days. Out of the 42 passengers onboard, only 4 of us were out & about, with the rest being sick in bed. I believer Raro is very nice these days. (It was very nice when I was there). I hope that it hasn't become to touristy. I will check out your photos later, I better get back to work.
