My hometown "PARAPUÃ" is on Woophy´s map!

What a wonderful surprise! I´m so touched!
During our Woophy Gathering last May here in Santos, talking to Antonioguilherme and his dear wife Iraíldes, about travel, they mentioned their next holiday trip...
The places they were visiting was not far from my hometown and I told them that. I got a bit nostalgic, because I have seen it in over 25 years!!!
Iraíldes wrote down the name of my hometown and promised to go there and take a picture of it for me!
Well I´ve been looking in their portfolios and have seen quite quite a few pictures of cities nearby my hometown...but not PARAPUÃ!
I thought...well, probably they didn´t have the time to go out of their way, just to see my hometown and take a picture of it for me!
Yesterday... there it was... on Antonioguilherme´s portfolio!
The church of my little hometown!
I´m still in shock! What a marvelous surprise to see the church where I was baptized and did my 1st communion!
It was in the church´s park and garden that I used the hang out with my friends when I was a kid and a teenager!!!
Growing up in a small town like mine, just mean one thing: You have to leave to the big city as a young adult to get education and a job...and that´s what I did!
Fells like going back in time!!! Difficult to describe the feeling!

Ficamos muito felizes! É realizador poder provocar tamanha emoção a uma pessoa. A nossa passagem por Parapuã (dois dias) foi também uma forma de retribuir a você e seu marido a forma tão cordial, acolhedora, que nos receberam em Santos no encontro de maio/2009. Parapuã é, sem dúvida, uma pequena cidade, mas possui uma ilustre cidadã!
