WOOPHY GATHERING IN SANTOS

Hi Folks! It took a long time for me to be able to put this blog together! A bit scary...but I have learned a little bit after breaking my head lots of times....;)))
April 4th and 5th, 2009 in SANTOS/SP/BRAZIL.
The Woophy Gathering was a very successful event....not large in quantity but with very high quality! The participants were all very devoted to photography and so it should be!
DAY ONE - we counted with the presence of André Asmundsen and Diego from Norway, and their brother-in-law from Sao Paulo, also, Antonio Guilherme and his wife Iraíldes from São Caetano do Sul, SP and myself and my husband!

From the Aquarium Municipal, we headed to Praça das Bandeiras in the Gozaga beach area, where we caught the sight seeing bus CONHEÇA SANTOS (Get to know Santos). The tickets for us were free of charge courtesy of Secretaria do Turismo, as well as the guide Mauro, that accompanied us through the whole sight seeing trip!
Many thanks to the Secretaria de Turismo and the Municipality for making this event even more successful and cheerful!

We had the possibility of hop on and hop off in 4 places, but we just did 2 stops as there so many things in this 2 stops to see and to photograph!
The 1st stop was the MONTE SERRAT/SERRAT MOUNT.
Here also we obtained some discounted tickets to make the trip to the top of Mount Serrat, again courtesy of Secretaria do Turismo! Many thanks!
BIG TERRACE ON MONTE SERRAT - HIGHEST POINT I BELIEVE-WHERE YOU HAVE A FANTASTIC VIEW OF SANTOS.

THE TRAM THAT TAKES PEOPLE AROUND THE OLD CITY CENTER, APROX. 7 KM. this TRAM WAS BUILT IN SCOTLAND LONG TIME AGO... VERY OLD, BUT STILL WORKS!!!

DAY 2
Myself, my husband, Antonioguilherme, Iraildes, Marco Antonio Silva and his wife Rosana.
We spent the morning in the PARQUE DO EMISSÁRIO SUBMARINO and afterwords we went for a goodbye lunch at the Ilha Porchat Club.
In this park is located the monument Tomie Ohtake and the Surf Museum. Also there is a Skateboard ramp, the Surfer´s deck and a Surfing School with wonderful nature surrounding it....
