Anti Musharraf Protest in Pakistan

About 400 people protested in Lahore against the rule of President Musharraf and for the reinstitution of the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. The protest is held every Thursday for over a year now. Lawyers yelled slogans against the president and for democracy. Political parties and social organizations were also present at the rally.
Musharraf fired independent judges in November to secure his position as the president of Pakistan. Musharraf is against the reinstitution of the judge because the court then has the power to declare Musharrafs election in February invalid.
