A bit of a provocative title maybe...... meant to be, too!
Because I find it interesting, and sometimes baffling, to see that some pictures are attracting lots of stars and comments, and others not at all. I have tried to find an indication as to WHY this is - apart from the obvious personal preferences and totally bad photos....
..... and I have not succeeded. So, I keep trying, and posting different sorts of photos, both 'pure' and 'doctored' and will continue to appreciate your comments and n0n-comments.
So, the first picture was a total 'dud' , and the second one seems to be very popular. I'll put them both for sale in the various photoshops and see what happens THERE! :-)

Haha! Well, I can't explain it... and being Ambassador here doesn't mean I know everything. Far from it ;-)
Maybe it has to do with the moment in time, maybe with the place the picture is posted, maybe with the 'taste' of the majority of viewers...... who can tell?
One thing I CAN tell is that by looking at the top rated photos overall, in general one can say that things that attract most viewers are bright colors, moody photos, dramatic land- and cityscapes and close-up details.
All the rest apparently is less easy to spot..... heck.. MAYBE it is because the thumbnails are so small !! (Hint Hint! @Woophy ) ;-)
