Preparation of flight. A pilot near to becoming famous.

The German naval submarine base of La Rochelle. Became famous in the movie "Das Boot".

Over the Ré bridge. Famous for being builded without authorization.

The nice Abbaye des Chateliers

Fort de la Prée. One of the numerous famous Vauban's fortifications in Charente-Maritime.

Saint Martin de Ré and its Vauban's fortifications. Very famous after being elected in the Unesco Patrimony.

The Ocean coast near Ars en Ré. Not famous but I like it.

Saint Clément des Baleines : The famous light house. Less famous but very interesting : the fish locks, builded in stones on the coast around the light house.

The aim of the flight : welcome a boat coming from a transatlantic journey. Hi, guys.

Wonderful series Aline. Nice to see that submarine base since Das Boot is one of my favorite WW II movies.
Must have been a great trip. Two years ago I won a helicopter flight over Amsterdam with a photocontest. I will never forget it.
