Photography from the Classics - "Guess Who"
#0 - 01.02.09
This is my first try with blogs, ever! Sorry for any mistake with this stuff!
I intend to post one picture, every Sunday (and whenever possible on Thursday too), from a well-known photographer, from the beginning of photography, in the early XIX century, till the late XX century. You can try to guess/find the author. At the end of each posting day, I'll reply with the correct answer and a very short biography (very very short, indeed). The order will not be chronological, so that the game is not too easy;). I'll look through my big photo book collection (about 5 hundred books;)) to remind me of many of my favourite photographers and pics. Hope you enjoy the challenge!
So, this is the first one for the game.
(sorry for any translation not so correct, and for not knowing the dutch and german languages, and others, of course! If anyone from those two countries, at least, want to help... it will be welcome;))
GAME OPEN, NOW, in second post.

~Thank you TBM, Teresa and Dolo!
~Sorry, Zerega, but now the pics are others. please see my next post. (yes, it was Felix Nadar who I intended in the first moment to present. Not anymore... he was guessed before the beginning of the game;)

Ora cá apareceram as fotos!

Zerega, can you at least see the pic? Anyone does :( . I must ask Marcel for help. I'll take it out from this first post, not to duplicate it, as I posted it again in a second one.
Btw, I changed my first pic from... yes, it was from Felix Nadar... but now it's from a different master, as everyone seemed to read the answer;). Thanks.

And don't forget that there're some programs that make it quite easy to find the photo on the internet. It took me 3 minutes to find te name.

Miguel, that's a good idea but, if you want it to be effective, you will need to change the name of the pic so that it does NOT include the name of the photographer (which would be revealed by a simple right-click on the pic). For example, the name of the author of your invisible pic is: the opponent of Fedeler in the Australian Open :-) alain

You'll see, all's well qui finit bien.
And a library de 800 libros? Vachement impressionnant!!
Hasta later!
Grtz

Miguel,
you must display your pic in Picasa Album; then, right click on it. choose Properties; then select and copy the url address. That's it. alain

Nice idea indeed Miguel....
about the posting of the picture, you have to upload it first on woophy or an other provider who gives the opportunity to upload pictures, like
http://tinypic.com/. And the you can put it by its woophy number, or the url from the provider, into your blog.
