Please, I need your opinion as specialist in a production of tulips.
Guida and I love tulips and the marvelous of their colours, so...as we live in an apartment with a big balcony, we decided to have some tulips, and really they have a beautiful and bright red colour, but... they are so small, not as tall as those we see in your pictures...
Is it because they are not in the soil, but in a small container?
Please give your expertise opinion
Manuel

Hello Mac. We took all this photo's at a bulb show where the growers show the best they have. So it's diffecult to compete with them And there are so much different tulips too. I don't think it's of the container, but the sort of the tulips you bought. Little tulips are nice too, enjoy them

are your tulips as small as these? don't worry, if you come to the woophydays we can look for some large bulbs, you can order them and have them brought to Portugal in autumn. Then tou have large tulips in spring.

it can have to do something with your climat. If it is very warm very quick they do not have to do their best to grow and catch the sunlight.
Please show your tulips.

Thank you my friends for your comments...
Yes, maybe it's the sort of tulip we bought...

After some essays, this is the first time we have tulips, maybe because this winter was very cold, and the wheather more similar to their natural environment... with a lot of water?
As you can see they are like this and only lived for three days. They open and drop.
Next june in our visit to Holand I think we will go shopping
Kisses and hugs
Manuel and Guida
