Yesterday I was looking at the local broadcasting station, there was in the news that for the 10th time a car was set in fire in the city Hilversum. I made this photo from our TV, so the quality is not so good of this photo. There is still no sign who is the culprit.

"Orange in fire". Tribute to my father, who made this game, a match lit in orange (light the house) to entertain me and my brother...

Dear Friends,

My sincere thanks to all the participants for working on this difficult subject. Yes I know it's not a common subject especially considering the cold war of nature on most part of the globe on west side. I must congratulate to all of you for your enthusiastic participation & taking efforts to post in this forum.

Honestly there are no very high quality images especially considering the beautiful entries in last months 14 days challenge but I know all of you must have enjoyed working on this subject & will find interesting to exploit it further.

In my list I will like to choose the second place for:

Dieuwertje

trudy tuinstra

Kolibri

I am highly impressed with the image & will consider it for 1st place:

I like the way she has composed this image by using graphical shapes, excellent formed rhythmic pattern & the dominant subject. The exposure very well balanced & colors are also very good. I can feel the fire & the warmth of it without loosing the visual treat of seeing the added depth by tilted framing!! Keep it up & my heartiest congratulations!!

Big congratulations to "Rebeca"

Now it's your turn to host 2010 March challenge. I will surely join it

Nilesh

Great work bnilesh, I completely agree with your words and your choices.

Hello, Nilesh,
I agree all your words and your choice, too, because Rebeca's shot was, imo, the only one to stand out ; but ... yes, there is a "but" although I don't want to hurt anyone nor to make troubles : it wasn't taken on the right dates and that's one of the most important rule of this contest
friendly,
brigitte

Hi Brigitte, I was just planning to post the same message as you did, of course it's a good photo, but at the other side the trick is to make a new photo in the time as said. That's why it is named 14 day challenge.
But she was honest too, when she told Nico had edited it, so my congratulations for Rebecca and Nico

Oh I see..
It looks like I had made a mistake & didn't noticed the date of capture of the shot which I have selected 1st. I apologise for my ignorance & mistake. But I am unable to decide should I correct my mistake or not. If yes then I will like to select one of the image from 2nd place winners as 1st. Kindly help me for taking final decision.
