In every country people have their favorite local market, some small, some large, some unknown some famous. If you want to know about local food, culture, homemade art, clothing, go to the market and you'll find it. It's often a hotspot for tourists.
Please share your pictures of your market
The following pictures were taken at the Ten Kate market, a typical Amsterdam market.

Thanks for the thread Martin. A few sights to be seen at Violet Town's vital and monthly market!

Fly before you buy. Such a lovely idea.

One little girl is pretty keen.

Martin Hi. Here is St. George's Market, Belfast. Every weekday, early in the morning, this is where local shop-keepers come to buy fresh fruit, vegetables and meat for their shops. On Saturday, when this was taken, it is open all day, and members of the public can buy a wide range of goods, from fruit, vegetables, etc. to items produced by individual craftspeople.
