Welcome to the New Unofficial Contest of the Most Beautiful picture of June 2008.
This month the rules of the Unofficial Contest are different then from the past contests. We changed the rules because the Unofficial Contest is going on with other organizers as before. Ruud~ wanted to quit the UC and we are thanking Ruud for all the good work he did for the Unofficial Contest. Ruud still helps us with the votecounter he developed for the UC, what is a great help for us. Thank you Ruud for This.
The contest that we now organize is a bit different and we think this contest can be a lot of fun. Everybody can take part in two different ways. Let us explain the rules of this New Unofficial Contest of the most beautiful picture of June 2008.
- You can only upload one most beautiful picture of June 2008 (as before)
- This picture has to be one of your own June 2008 portfolio (as before)
- The picture id's of June 2008 are between 559162 and 577141
- Uploading stops over 10 days (New)
- After closing upload you will have seven days to vote (New)
- All members get three votes (New)
- The 10 most voted pictures are going on to round two (New)
- Members of the Jury aren’t allowed to participate (New)
Round two is something different from the Unofficial Contest as you knew from the past.
The jury is choosing out of the 10 most voted pictures the most beautiful three. The number one get’s a Woophy icon as most beautiful picture of June 2008. Let us first introduce you the jury that has its organizers (Karin and Oscar) and the winning member of the past month. For this month Lali and Sergio Leitao will be in the jury. So every month there will be another member in the jury. That member takes part in the jury and helps choosing the winning picture. Also, that member takes part in suggestions for the article in the news brief of Woophy. The member that wins the NUC will take part in the jury of next month’s contest. When this member doesn’t want to participate in the jury then the second place winner will be asked to join and otherwise the third place winner, but we hope this wouldn’t be necessary. We think it can be a lot of fun the new contest, and we are sure there are again some beautiful pictures posted in the forum. And just don’t forget to remember, participating in this contest is more important than winning. We are sure this contest could be a lot of fun and that’s why we also want to continue the UC but then in a different way as the NUC. We just want that everybody enjoys this contest and it has to be for and with the members. Let’s make a lot of fun with each other. We wish you all good luck with this first New Unofficial Contest’s Most Beautiful picture of June 2008!

Photo is a Night shot of Melbourne, and shows reflections of the lights over the Yarra River which flows through the city.
