I used to have three of those beauties, but hen I got pregnant and it was just to hard to look for the food for them cos in the winter everything was covered with snow and I didn't have any bramble near house, so I gave them away in to good hands...I guess as sun as my daughter will be a bit biger we will have those interesting animals again, cos you know, this can be the best "animal channel" to watch, especially when they shade 
We met this big gay the other day and we were very impressed, he shure is perfect in his own way..my husband sugested to me to put my finger betwen beetle 's tongs that we would see how strong he is  , you can imagine I was not to keen about his idea 
And now something for more "fairy like" creatures lovers;

Another stag beetle perched on an iron stake near the canal. I had enough time to make a serie of photos before its takeoff.
