Woophy statistics say:
"Most users ever online: 15 [5 May 08 00:17] Guests - 1 Members - 14"
That should solve any doubts about earlier pictures not being seen!

Does anyone vote for their own picture? i only do it as my pictures need every little bit of help . I really struggle to decide what other people would like and what i would like and then i feel bad for my picture receiving little votes

Hi Jonny,
It is not outside the bounds of good sportsmanship to vote for your own photo. After all, we ask you to vote for the pictures that you think are the most beautiful, and your own might well be among those!

i don't like the idea of voting the own picture. even if the rules are clear about it. (it is ok, one vote you can use for it) for me it is not a sportiv thought, if you understand what i wanna say with it. if everyone would in first place vote for its own picture.... ridicule. then we would need more then 3 votes to make a clear result! but this is just me opinion..

Agree with Bunny. At least, you can't vote three times for yourself '

Imagine you are winning the contest and you voted for yourself that time. I think you can't say to yourself you win at a good way. So I agree with Bunny. But it is everybody's own choice.

Oscar

I also agree with Bunny.
It's not sporting to vote for yourself, but it speaks volumes of the person who does.

Hello,
Wouldn't it be unfair if the maker of the most beautiful picture could not vote for that picture? Everybody else can, so why not he (or she)?
I twice voted for a picture that I took myself. In both cases because I thought they belonged to the three best that were posted. I voted for this picture in the December contest.

Does anybody seriously believe that that was immoral?
(These are not a rhetorical questions. Feel free to answer them.)

So i agree with Ruud its personal taste and not unsporting just voting for original rather than usual.
I voted for
All are very different to the usual photos entered into the contest .
oh the third is mine and voted for as its my daughter and shes daddy girl.
Happy voting !
Just deleted a bit of this message as i reacted to someones comment which i promised myself i wouldn't do anymore. Now i see why some people dont participate as much in forum any more as some slightly personal insinuating comments always get made.

Good idea Oscar, to make some space for discussion about the monthly inofficial contest. This month I found it really difficult to choose between this one: hall of São Bente railwaystation, Porto, and the 1 I finally choose. The reason I decide to choose not this 1, is that I preferred the outside view, with a cloud. I agree with other members that join in the contest is more important than winning, it is also a good opportunity to see all kind of beautiful pictures of fellow woophies.

johnny and ruud, you both have sent in a very good photo for this contest. but i think it's to the others to judge. that's the essence of such a contest in my eyes. you can''t be your own jury.

Yes Geert, everybody can, and so can you.
If you think your picture is among the three most beautiful then I really think you should vote for it.
Don't hold back. Vote for the pictures that you want to vote for. The contest is an election.
As for myself: I haven't voted yet, but I've already seen plenty of pictures that I like better than my own. I will choose among those.

@johnny: well, if you don't like my answer to your question, you should not ask for.... (i don't mean this negative at all! just wanna make this clear... )
seriously: it is everybodies own decition for what and who he/she wanna vote for. Ruud has a good point too: if you really like your picture and it is your favorite.. why not? mmh but i personaly like more oscars thought.... if you win and you have voted for it? well if i vote for my picture and win... it would be not a 'good feeling' winning for me. but how we said it allready: it is everyones own desicion and taste!

It's not sporting to vote for yourself, but it speaks volumes of the person who does.

@johnny: this line is a bit harsh to me too... sorry that someone wrote you that.
i just thought after your question here and only ruud answerd the quetion ( we, ruud and i had already once this discution btw ) i have also to say my opinion... but everything should be nice said. everyone has a own opinion and we have to accept other opinions we would have nothing to discuss if everyone would think the same!!! how booooooooooooooooooring!
but you should stay to what you think johnny! don't change your vote just because not everyone is your opinion... i mean it

Jonny,
You were quite right to speak up about my comment. I should not have made it, it was unecessary and I apologise unreservedly to everyone on this forum.
I still feel it is unsporting to vote for your own picture, but I realise, of course, that not everyone shares my opinion.

johnny, now i feel realy bad. just because i said my opinion, witch was nothing important anyway, you deleted a wunderfull picture!!! why? there was no bad meaning in it, and i tolerate and accept other opinions, how i said it before, it would be boring if all think the same! and i'm sure that all others who shared my opinion in this matter accept it too that others have other opinion!
well, i just made my mind: i don't answer anymore on this kind of questions if the asker can not bare a answer. sorry if this sound harsh. i don't mean it harsh. but i do it from now on like my mother told me: if you don't have to say something nice, then be quite!
bye
