Abandoned things do have some special, they could tell a whole story of life and when abandoned they give us some touching feelings and are a thankful topic for the photographer.

hey Dieuwertje, this is a very nice topic. here's my contribution; only seven hours ago I saw this one on Alsumer Berg (Duisburg, Germany); no, not a good picture, but i cannot resist uploading it; maybe more; later

This wasn't my car but it happened outside my house one night. In NZ old cars are towed away for free so their is no need to torch them.
This is the wreck of a 'Scow'. These were used for coastal shipping (passengers, stock & freight) right up until the 1950's, their shallow draft was ideal for the tidal waterways that were the highways of the pre-roading times.
