Dear Woophy's, September is for the north part of this earth the beginning of Autunm, while at the South part Spring is starting.
It seams to me a nice idea when all of you show an impression of your environment, so we see Spring and Autunm at the same time, I will start with my impression....

in Israel September is :
New Year (12/9)
children are going back to school .
only after Sucot (26/9) we will start to see a very short Autumn.

Spring in the South Pacific
I am cheating though Dieuwertje as

As Drora said, autumn on the Mediterranean is still far. Here in Italy it is just the beginning of the end of summer.
So, I can send a picture taken a couple of yeras ago:
Or, if you want to see a brand-new pic with the colours of our September , this was taken yesterday... the light is getting softer than in August, and the sky is pale blue...

As promised Dieuwertje, here is a little touch of a southern spring.
For a traditional spring though you will need to ask our South Island pals.
The spring gardens in Ch-Ch and Dunedin are magnificent.

At last, Spring in the South Pacific
'Kowhai' - Sophora chathamica (North Island Kowhai)
Sophora tetraptera (Coastal Kowhai)
Kowhai is Maori for yellow
Kowhai is found in a range of varieties throughout NZ and the Chatham Islands and flowers during September and October. Kowhai adds colour to an otherwise drab bush cover.
I took this today (Friday). Flowering is about three weeks late this year
