there was a beautiful sunset here in the deep south (NZ) tonight but by the time I had got home to my camera the sun was set and all the colours gone ;-((
instead, here are a couple of shots I made earlier -

Very popular theme indeed , very good response , with wonderful photos .
Although I hardly get the chance now to go and admire a sunrise or a sunset , I'd love to be able to do it and when I do get these opportunities , I try not to miiss them.
Here are a couple of my photos :

I have to admit, but I see more sunsets than sunrises. Here are a couple of sunrises.
The sun has just cleared the horizon, but I am looking west for the best scene.
Quebec.
The sun is up, but there is still a pretty sky.
Ushuaia.
Some sunsets
Sailing from San Francisco and looking over Green Bay from near the town of Sturgeon Bay.
 
A baseball game in Omaha and near the Pacific end of the Panama Canal.

Nice topic, in my opinion the evening and sunset gives us one of the best lights for a picture.
