a selection of bridges from Central Otago -
the Daniel O'Connell bridge in Ophir, an old gold mining town
bridges across the Clutha River in Alexandra - the piers of the old bridge built in 1882, replaced by the new steel bridge in 1958
 
Poolburn Viaduct and the Manuherikia Viaduct on the Otago Central Rail trail (former railway line, now a cycling/walking trail)

this is Griethausen, not far from Kleve, Germany. it's the eldest (1863) railwaybridge in steel from this country. there's no train anymore, but this beautiful bridge is still there.
