Mountains...
I adore mountains, some members know this already. That's why the Alps are one of my favourite places to be. But there are so many other mountains in the world. I heard fantastic stories about great mountains in New Zealand, Canada, Alaska, Norway,...
So if you have pictures or stories of mountains, let me know !
Some of my own pictures
Bregenzer Wald near Schoppernau (Vorarlberg, Austria)
Mieminger Plateau near Mieming (Tirol, Austria)

hi Nonkel Duvel,
I know that you also like Auvergne, but there is only "small" moutains here, so my contribution is Volcanoes (called "la chaine des puys") to try to be as impressive as your good selection ;)

yeah, mountains.
in Jordan, must be the extension of the African Rift Valley or so
Wadi Rum, Jordan
Black Mountains, Andean range, Perú
And that's the closest you can get there by car. You can do a drive-by-shooting and pretend at home you actually had scaled this wall through ice and snow.
... though even driving can be hard work in these heights.
The Andes look more poetic from farther away.
Tian Shan ('Heavenly Mountains' in Chinese) in Kirgistan ...
... and Kazakhstan ...
... during Sovjet times, mountains even came with death ray guns.
Wheras in the Andes it's the death roads.
For a true premium mountain collection go for Pakistan:
Hindukush (Tirich Mir)
Hinduraj (speak 'Heendoorah-zh')
Above the Indus, the highest wall. More than 7000 vertical meters. (Nanga Parbat)
More luxurious mountain vistas can be had in Chile (Volcán Ollagüe):

Nice topic Nonkel. I live in a flat country (Holland) but now and them I can catch mountains.
Canada:
The newest mountain in the world; a vulcano in Iceland, I thought formed in 1984 (1100 meteters high)::
And again Canada:
