Every year so around the first of may, there are flowerdays in these two places. Special about it is that there are , besides the bulbfields, several flowermosaics. They are made from the, what we call, nails of the hyacint. The mosaics are often about up-to-date subjects and often a bit funny. The gardens of the people in these villages also are made extra beautiful.

Sometimes the mosaics have turned into great technical projects. Thisone has shining eyes, steam from the wild boar, a peeing dog and bubbles in the pot.
here you see all about jans winning team , and below a closeup of the two most important managing people of this team

I also head the pleasure of visiting these flowerdays. I went in the quiet evening hours and agreed with Trudy to post some pictures on this topic:
The best known landmark of Anna Paulowna at the entrance of the village

Main Street or main canal of Anna Paulowna
A mosaique in the canal, a scene from the annual village fair

A mosaic with a moving group that also fired at the people watching with a water pistol

Who does not know the story of Peter Pan, a work of many manweeks!

In my opinion the best mosaique, remember those are all tiny nails of the hyacinth flower sticked unto a board

Views of the bulbfields around Anna Paulowna
