From now on every Woophy member has the possibility to write something about his photography or travels.
The blogs can be found with this url:
http://www.woophy.com/member/?blogs
Or use this format to find somebody's personal blog
http://www.woophy.com/member/joris/blog http://www.woophy.com/member/ortho158/blog
and you can promote or spread the url of your blog among your friends and family
To start a blog
Go to ‘My Woophy’ (when logged on) Click on ‘My Blog’ (just under ‘My Woophy’) Type your blog and when you are finished click ‘publish’
To insert a picture
It is possible to insert a Woophy photo, a photo hosted somewhere else or a Youtube video.
To insert a Woophy photo just click ‘insert image’ and insert the photo id #. The picture will appear on top of your message but you can move it anywhere.
To insert a picture hosted somewhere else or on youtube select from the pull down menu (where there is written ‘Woophy photo #’) either ‘image url’ or ‘youtube video url’
Featured blogs
In the past Woophy had ‘specials’ and the ‘travelblog’ by Guus Koelman. They were published on the news page. In the near future we would like to give some blogs special attention by publishing them also in the news page. Woophy will invite these bloggers to writ something about a special subject.
Blog forum
Soon (we did now) we will open a forum for questions and announcements on blogs

I can't see the videos on the blogs. It shows an empty box, whithout any image or word. The same happens when I try to upload a youtube video on my trial blog. I use the Windows Internet Explorer in my laptop. It could come the problem from there? Thanks

Paulo,
You should use the link (top) to youtube not the embed (lower) function

Joris, I use the link that we can see on top of the Youtube. For example: http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=UH3qXQls1Pw and than I put it in the Youtube video option of the Woophy Insert Image... and I can see only an empty box, as result! Maybe the problem is the Windows Explorer... a plugin, or codec. I don't know!

Joris, we must remove the http:// which are already in the box, or not? by the way, the problem must be of my laptop and/or my Internet Explorer, because I can't see the videos in existing blogs, like the Ortho158 one.

Jan, here are possible solutions to your problem:
a) did you choose the right 'insert' option? By default, it is 'woophy photo', but, if you click on the 'v', you get a list with three possibilities: Woophy photo, image url and youtube video. You need to select image url.
b) if you did it right, did you clear the window where you have to enter the address of your image, before pasting it? By default, it already contains http://, probably to indicate that it expects an url. But it is also dangerous, because your url already starts with http://. So, you have to delete one of them. If you didn't do that, Woophy will look for an address like http://http://picasaweb.google.be/janhemels/yourpi cture#12345678, which does not exist, of course.
Hope it helps.

Many Thanks Alain (Ortho15 for you great help! Without you I would not have succeeded in posting my first blog. It is a lot more complicated than the short manual suggests, at least for a dummy as I am and if you want to import from a Picasa webalbum!

Suggestion! When viewing the blogs it should be possible to go straight to the full size image instead of having to go through all the regular routine. Just a suggestion!

I have created a blog which I can see only when I 'Edit Post' or 'View Post from my account. I cannot see it in the normal view. I have 'Published' the post as required but it still does not appear, just the message 'TGB is not blogging'.
I am obviously doing something wrong; your advice on how to correct it would be most appreciated.

Mario,
what is the status of your blog (in Edit post): is it published? or draft, or ???

I don't know what the status is. When I press the Edit button I get the blog up. The same happens when I press the Draft button. But when I press the Publish button, nothing happens. Very peculiar!

When you click edit post (next to add new post) you should get a list of your blog entries, with their status. If that doesn't work, I suggest that you try to create a new blog entry, and see what happens.

It seems to me there is no easy way to have a complete view on the existing blogs. On my knowledge we can only access through the "members" tab, in a corner, to the last 5 blogs and scroll 5 by 5, with just the indication of the title. I visit very rarely the blogs, certainly because of this lack of visibility and handy access.
Why not a "blogs " tab with a short summary for each subject. That would make the blogs more visible and certainly push everyone to create and visit them.
Thanks

ther is a blog tab http://www.woophy.com/member/?blogs and also each member has his or her blog page http://www.woophy.com/member/Leonor67/blog
But to those of you who are blogging it is not against the law to promote your blog, in the forum there is a special section, you can do it with email etc.

Thanks Joris, I really discover this tab, why don't to put it on the main screen to make it more visible ?
