Wow, Jan, I only realize this thread because Cristina and PBX alerted me (sorry ). I'll do my best to try being there. I only need two things: to recover till then from my airplane sickness and try to ask at school if I'll be free on the previous day (friday, the 11th). It would be really great we can come to Holland. Yes, I'll take SuperBock with me to change Nonkel's idea about beers))

My oldest daughter Anne, not yet on Woophy ( she will be soon) is coming with me.
We hope that we can convince Debthawu to come with us.
I'm already nervous for my first meeting Woophy..

Sounds good. Daniel and I would love to come. A bit early to be sure, but strong possibility. If we come by car, we will bring some Val de Loire wine to counter the Super bock and nonkel Duvel's gangs!!!

Hummm! I'm a bit ashamed! Jan, Trudy, sorry....
I don't think we will be able to come. For a good reason obviously, important,.
You know we have wonderful children , and they offered us a wonderful gift for Christmas. They have offered us a week in Corse island. But this is from 13to 20 th of june and everything is already booked.
They have tried to change it, but as this is low cost flights, and an arrangement with friends of them for the house, this is not possible. We had the answer today only, that's why I did not speak of that before.
When I said "a bit early to be sure, I did not imagine. Nevertheless this is also a splendid gift, and I will try to be forgiven in doing wonderful pictures of this beautiful area.....
So, we will have to wait an other opportunity to meet, but I'm sure we will manage to do it one day...
Nonkel you will have to come to Val de Loire. And why not?
Nevertheless, if somebody has his way by Blois to go to Holland, bottles are already here...
Hope you are not too disapointed Nonkel....

Having received already around 35 confirmations of which many from outside our country we - Trudy Tuinstra and I - have been looking around for a place where we can have a pleasant evening together on the 12th of June.
The place we have chosen is Hotel Restaurant Camping Molengroet, Molengroet 1, 1723PX Noord Scharwoude (website: http://www.molengroet.nl/home
This place is located just a few minutes driving north of Alkmaar (N245) in the direction of Schagen. There we will have a barbecue buffet that will cost between 20 and 25 Euros (excluding drinks)
If wou wish to stay at Molengroet they have all kinds of accomodation available for camping, caravan and hotel)
The hotel offers a discount of 25% on the normal price of 80 Euros and will charge 60 Euro's, if you do not want to drive after the party this will be a convenient place to stay. If you wish to make a reservation there please go to http://www.hotelmolengroet.nl and mention woophy weekend 12 June 2010
People who want to stay in Alkmaar itself are advised to check the Amrath hotel in the city centre : see http://www.amrathhotels.nl/hotel/alkmaar (rooms 77,50 Euro or the Hotel Stad en Land (http://www.hotel-stadenland.nl/ ) next to the station . There are many more alternatives but prices are mostly in the same category
