Trudy Tuinstra and myself will organize the next Dutch Woophy Weekend in the weekend of 12th and 13th of June 2010.
We are breaking with the tradition of organizing this annual meeting in the month of september hoping for good weather but first of all to combine it with the Historic festival that will be held in Alkmaar this very same weekend. The festival will be definitive in the month of December (subject to financial support)
We will prepare a challenging program for every one containing visits to several pittoresque villages including a World Heritage site. We have everything at hand: Old cities, Mills, Museums, Polders, Dunes, Forests and last but not least the Kaeskoppenfestival where it will be difficult to make you stop shooting unique images . Also remember we are only 10 minutes driving from the coast and 35 minutes from Amsterdam. People arriving on Friday could also make a visit the World Famous Cheesemarket!
We will soon start looking for cheap arrangements for accomodation and eating but in the mean time we would like to know how many Woophy members we might expect. We hope you will all come and are sure you will be enjoying great photo opportunities!
To introduce our region and the festival we chose the following pictures :

You are abolutely right. I have been checking with the authorities and the date will be 12 and 13th June. The festival is still subject to financial support but it is expected to go on that weekend. It will be definite next month.

Great! I've never visited your country. This could be a good opportunity. Please let us keep in touch. With a little luck, I should be with you.

@ Kolibri and Nonkel: they sell Duvel, but you also can bring your own, that is twice fun! By the way , we have a beermuseum in Alkmaar, with lot of other tasty beers. It is very nice to see already so many enthousiast reactions. It will be great fun again!
