I was wondering; if I would organize a Woophy meeting in Slovenia, I don't know maybe in spring or next autumn, would there be anyone from abroad interested in coming ?

for us people from abroad it would need to be a few days to justify the travel
if it fits into my schedule im interested

O.k., after discusing it with my husband, we came to conclusion, that the best time for meeting would be in second half of September....begining of autumn can be great cos the summer hollidays are over and "must see" places are not overcrowded anymore, the temperatures are usually quite nice, not to hot and not to cold and the most important, everyone interested in visiting our country would have enough time for planing the trip.
Travel posibilitis are quite wide I think, just like in other parts of Europe; I think the airtraffic is very regular with most of europe airports and there are also good railway conections.
All you would have to do is to come to Ljubljana, fruther transportations would be organized by me and my husband.
Right now we are just discusing some ideas, which will be presented here on this forum topic as soon as they become more "clear".

@Jan...well, three or four days of "program" would probably do, but you can always stay longer, we shure will be available

I would love to come, but i am afraid I have to work in september, and just for the weekend? I don't think it is to make true. But if it becomes a tradition perhaps I can make it when I am pensionated.. But for all the people in Slovenië and neighbourhood it would be fantastic.

Fast to reach from my town; and the occasion to visit Slovenia, I think better spring 2010. Too cold on winter.

It's nice to see so many people interested...yes, Slovenija is quite far for some of you, but it shure is worth to visit, I can tell you that....I know it's still a bit early, but I was wondering, are you planing to travel with your families or solo? We are planing to show you the green side of our country, plenty of beautiful nature and country life, but of course also a city or two ...I think it could be interesting also for your familiy members, with or without cameras.
Right now it looks the courage is one the side of the boys, only Brigitte is holding the flag for Woophian ladies, so ladies, comon, would love to see you in my country, including you Trudy and I mean before the pension
P.S.Heh, I'm not a bear drinker, but I can confirm; yes we do have Duvel  , but we also have Union and Laško, and who knows, maybe you'll find one of those even better

Hmmm, I wish I would be free to go and visit your wonderful country which for so long I had in mind to do! If it is in August, I think I could have a small ( ) chance, at least. Anyway, great idea, Lali!
