FIRST MEXICAN WOOPHY CHALLENGE
October/03/ 2009, Queretaro, Mexico
This is going to be a day full of fun, we (Lupisjim, Arlis, Larry and I) are organized a challenge following a rally format, everybody in woophy is invited, we will have two formats: one for woophyans all over the world and other for those who come to Queretaro, Mexico.
For those out of Queretaro, you will have to express your interest to participate by sending an email to

everybody is welcome, so, please send us an email before September/28/2009
The challenge for them it will be similar than the one on Queretaro
Every participant will receive three (3) different themes by email in October/03/ 2009 at 7:00 o’clock in the morning Western Europe time
Every participant will have six (hours) hours to take the photos and send it to the mail mentioned above, one photo every two hours in the order you receive it on the list; the themes it will match with the ones in woophy, and it will be assigned randomly, everyone has to send the three photos and no more than that.
Photoshop it is forbidden
The photos it will be rated (not down rated, just kidding) with the same scale as in woophy, and it will be penalized with a quarter of point for every ten (10) minutes of delay on the delivery, the time it will be taken from the email
It will be three winners, they will receive our recognition, and maybe a surprise, remember it is just for fun
The winners will be named five days after the challenge by an international panel to be defined; I let you know who it will be the judges
We hope you like the idea and also hope this is the beginning of many more challenges to come, we understand that with this short notice maybe it is impossible to come to Mexico, but keep it in mind for next year by the summer, next year lets have an international Mexican Challenge.
For those who are coming to Queretaro
October/03/ 2009, Queretaro, Mexico
10:00 meeting on the hotel call Turotel on Querétaro’s entrance, presentation of all participants and naming of the Jury from all of us, at least two persons
11:00 we will move to down town Queretaro (the historical zone).
12:00 The participants will have to pick up a theme from a fish bowl and they will have one hour to go out to take the photo and come back to deliver it and pick up another theme up to three themes
15:00 Lunch, during the lunch the photos it will be projected for everybody
17:00 jury deliberations, the photos it will be rated with the same scale as in woophy, and it will be penalized with a quarter of point for every ten (10) minutes of delay on the delivery
18:00 the jury name the three winners
19:00 we will go to take a night tour trough down town call “the historical houses of Queretaro and his legends” performed for some actors and visiting a real historical houses
After the tour we will go to a bar
We hope to receive allot of woophyans here in Queretaro for the FIRST MEXICAN WOOPHY CHALLENGE and of course many participants for all over the woophy planet

10:00 am llegada al punto de reunión: Hotel TUROTEL QRO. Ubicado en lateral Autopista México Querétaro No. 2107 en dirección a Celaya, justo en la dirección en la que llegan a Querétaro, al llegar verán a su mano izquierda el estadio Corregidora lo pasan y a 300 metros verán una gasolinera ahí toman la lateral y a 200 metros esta el TUROTEL, el teléfono del hotel es (442) 251 81 00 por si quieren pedir indicaciones, está al lado del Hotel City Express.
10:30 traslado al centro histórico
10:30 �" 11:30 presentación de los miembros que no hayan asistido a las anteriores reuniones y nombramiento del jurado del FIRST MEXICAN WOOPHY CHALENGE
El reto es el siguiente: cada participante tomara de una pecera un tema y tendrá una hora para salir, hacer sus tomas y regresar a entregar al jurado la toma que elija, solo podrá entregar una fotografia, tomar otro papelito con un tema diferente y de nuevo otra hora, y así hasta completar tres, la puntuación será igual que en woophy, de 1 a 5 penalizándose con un cuarto de punto de demerito por cada 10 minutos de retraso en la entrega, solo contamos con formato de lectura para tarjetas DS, así que por favor traigan los cables de descarga de sus cámaras para hacer el proceso ágil, NO OLVIDEN TRAER PILA CARGADA, TARJETA DE MEMORIA VACIA Y CABLES DE DESCARGA.
12:00 salida al Rally
15:00 reunión en el sitio de comida (por definir)
15 �" 17 comida y proyección de las fotografías de cada woophyano
17-18 deliberaciones del jurado
18:00 - 20:00 entrega de premios y convivencia grupal
20:00 salida al recorrido de la ciudad y sus leyendas
22:00 salida de grupo a algún lugar para tomar la copa y convivir
Domingo 04 de Octubre
9:00 �" 11:00 Desayuno
12:00 salida a sus lugares de origen
Por favor confirmen su intención de asistir para arreglar lo necesario en función de quienes vendrán y sugerirles hoteles a quienes pasaran el fin de semana en Qro.
Por favor reenvíen el correo a quienes por descuido he omitido y desde luego si conocen gente interesada bien venidos.
NOTA: todos los gastos corren por cuenta de cada quien y el costo de los premios, que será mínimo, se dividirá entre quienes asistamos.

Good idea, sounds like fun !
photoshop is forbidden - I suppose any other photo editing software as well, does this mean, no cropping or light adjustments etc, just the picture as it comes straight out of the camera ?

Dear Vixstix and Bluesbuster
The answer is yes, any digital manipulation it is forbidden, as you can see in the Queretaro’s event we just have enough time to go out, do the photo and comeback to deliver, that’s the fun, running against clock and be creative, I suggest to practice a good set up of the camera, it is a rally, run run run, no space for mistakes.

You all know how much I love Mexico. I will come on the wings of imagination. Can not be there, think I will to you. I love you. Hector, I mention the bar with a glass of tequila. I wish you luck and good light. A special salute to the beautiful ladies team in Mexico.
