Watching this morning at a beautiful pictures of Oleg Zharkov, I thought the United Arab Emirates is perhaps a very good place for photographers, with a lot of futurist and impressive buildings to shot. That is typically a place I have thinking about since I like to photograph, but never before. Photography has opened my eye on the contemporary architecture.
But it won't be my first choice...
If you had time and money, and desire to heat white-hot your camera, where would you go first ? And what would be your motivations ?

Geeat topic aline, makes us open our minds :)
I woudl probably choose for a tour in scandinavia, I would like to take a long long trip in all the baltic countries, denmark, norway, sweeden, finland etc...I would really love to take pictures of the vast icy waters, the think forests and all the wonderfull wildlife and lakes.

hmmm, this is a wish I already have for years......Iceland Greenland....to see the Aurora Borealis....and knowing myself, forgetting to take pictures....;-))

and why??....I think it has to do with, it is something you can't hold, you can't grab....it is on the borders of our hemisphere and the universe...........no fancy buildings or cars, just something nature offers us for free.

I'm more attracted by countries with a long story, with strong roots. Yemen, is the country I dream to go. These pictures makes me dream, but there are a lot of other pictures done in Yemen of WHoopy. All these fragile buildings are so incredible. and the dramatic landscape, with dry mountains, and teraces, and the desert, and before all that his proud people. A difficult nature, that human beings managed to adapt to their needs.I was enthusiastic after a reporting Ushuai last year, and since that I read a lot of literature and documentation about Yemen. I really hope to go to this fantastic country. Sure my camera will get dark red & hot, if I realise this dream
