Hi dear Woophy members,
I'm just discovering the project recently launched by the great photographer Yann Arthus Bertrand (you probably know his magnificent picture book "Earth from Above"

This project named GoodPlanet is to support sustainable development and make people aware of environmental problems and help them to contribute through concrete actions.
The project includes different topics:
- Carbon Action program aims to promote CO2 emissions reduction – A very clever tool to be aware of his owns activities impact. It calculates for example your emissions during a trip by plane or by car (you get the CO2 emissions in tons), and indicates how to compensate its impact by supporting some projects which balance your owns emissions.- http://www.yannarthusbertrand.com/goodplanet/ac/calculateur/principe.p hp
- A gallery with really great pictures representing the beauty of the life on earth, its diversity, directly threatened by pollution and our way of living.

Unfortunately, this recently launched French Website, is not totally achieved, the language options (English and Spanish) doesn't seem to work for the time being.

It doesn't matter if it is only in french , the pictures tell more than 1000 words. I hve seen his work more , specially the animal photo's. But you're right there is more to look at ......great, thnx for sharing it Patt.

In Amsterdam, in front of the Townhall, there is an open air exposition of his work.
If I have time I will take some shots on saterday for this forum.

I remember an exhibition in front of the Stopera (=Amsterdam Town Hall) a few years ago! I took some pictures of people looking at Yann's great images, a worthwhile exercise!
