I am going to Marrakesh in early December. Any ideas for locations to visit, day trips out of the city, experiences, suggestions?

Hey Ruud,
I just uploaded some pictures of Marrakech! You should definitely see the medina! The rest of Marrakech is nice as well.

It was great. Marrakech is an excellent destination for a photographer: lots of interesting people to photograph (but make sure they don't object first), lots of street scenes, building, animals (the storks are amazing). And there are also lots of day trips you can make. I did one to Ouarzazate, in the sahare, across the the High Atlas mountains.
I stayed in the Kasbah, in a Riad. Much better than a big modern hotel in the new part of town. I can recommed Riad Lydines (not cheap but good rooms and great staff).
