Why is it for 90% bad news what you see in the word press phote....i think there is enough happy news from all over the world to show......

great impressive pictures.
but its really how you said ConradM; 90% (i think even more!) bad news... News seem never to be happy. that is depressing.

I agree with u all, depressing... but I think its good we see them, so we can try to solve the problems we see or at least help to solve them...

if my view of the world was based on the World Pres Photo I already had given up hoping......so please give me a ballance between Good an Bad so we can see what it can be if we try.!!!

@ Xavier : OK this all can make you depressive, but I am afraid, that you, and all the Woophy world could never solve all these problems. So, when you look to all the misere you see in in this world of bad news, just think over, how good and happy we are living.

Wow, just had a look, and it certainly makes you appreciate the wealth we have.
Freedom, fresh air, clean water, the ability to voice our opinion.

Many of the pics surely tell very sad stories. But it also shows the importance of photojournalism: One image shows more than thousand words.

In Israel we have the bigest no. of photojournalists from all over the world. People here are addicted to news. Every day some new "Breaking News" with pictures that are telling some new story.. That's why here in woophy i can find the ballance and see so many nice-ordinary-peaceful-great pictures.

I agree with Conrad. Technically beautiful, but reflection of world life...... That's why it's important that Woopy continue to exisit in order to share our good moments and some day to day simple happyness. I agree with Drora.
By the way I've just discovered the site 10 days ago, and I reallly love it.
