Wilfred Member	# Posted: 9 Feb 06 21:48 Reply Yes,unfortunately, if you are scanning 35mm film you will need either a dedicated film scanner with at least 2400 dpi or a flatbed scanner with at least 3200 dpi. A 1600 dpi flatbed simply won't do the job unless your intended final image size is under 600 pixels wide and you apply excessive unsharp masking.
