I've been lucky enough to get the possibility to take portraits (Smiling, cheering) people 4 times a month and there is no doubt, the best pictures are taken when people are not aware of what I'm doing. (After the picture is taken I contact them all because of publication of the pictures.)
These pictures belongs to a newspaper, and will not be postet on woophy.

In my experience I think in general people are flattered if you take their photograph. Especially if you strike a conversation with them and they then feel at ease with you.
This is one of my favorites portraits I shot recently. I ask the boy if the camel was his friend and he then proceeded to hug the camel. It was a precious moment for me.
