Hi all!
I think it's worthwhile to have a look to this video. It will take you only two minutes and the tip shown is really interesting. Hope you find this helpful... I'm just going to try it as soon as possible!

This instructional video shows you how to build your own stabilizer in 5 minutes for less than $1. It is super light weight and folds up small enough to fit in your pocket. With this stabilizer, you can hand-hold your camera with shutter speeds at least 3 stops slower than without. It works just as well with video camera
Hugs to all!

Great Ruden for sharing this wonderful tool......never thought of it but it makes alot of sense. Now I am going to attract more public stares.....unless I choose a black rope instead of the white one shown on the video. Best regards.....sawsengee

Thanks Ruden. I generally use a mono-pod - slightly heavier and more bulky than a piece of string !

Hello Ruden,
It's a good tip, the string stabilizer. I'm going to try it myself.
The guy in the video seems to be using a screw that would be too narrow by itself for the camera. I think it sticks anyway because the string being wound around it makes it just wide enough to grip the thread in the camera's bottom.
If that's the case, the connection might not be strong enough. A fitting screw with an eye on one end to attach the string would be perfect!
thanks for the tip!

Great tip, exp.lly for photographers like me with very unsteady hands... I had a friend, instead, who could hold up to 1/8 sec... I called him The Human Tripod! I wish I knew this tip years ago, in the age when cameras had no form of electronic stabilizers. Thanks a lot Ruden.
