Sometimes the result is not so good. Look at this bridge. The medium view looks fine. The large view looks jagged. It's sharper, but a lot of detail is lost.

medium

large

Wow, Ruud~, thanks for sharing!
I only didn't understand what you meant about the square or round brackets! Could you explain it, please?
Oh, it's funny the way you say : to discover the Easter's egg! Here we say: to discover Columbus' egg (the navigator). One day he asked his men if they could put an egg standing! No one was able to do it! Then he crashed it gently, and then there it went, standing !
Well, now it's my turn to experiment the view with #500001

Oops, the larger isn't that big! At least not so much as the way we can see it at my gallery, at the larger view!!! Why?

Hi Miguel,

500001 is a good one! About the brackets: To show the string (so that you could see what I mean) I had to make one change or another in the original "insert picture" string. If I hadn't done that Woophy would've shown a picture instead of the string.

About how big they get: The large ones all get the same width!

bye

It is a good thing for wide panoramas. However as a matter of courtesy for dial up viewers I'd rather use m or s for the regular images in the forum.

Zerega,

I think that the same image is sent to the user, together with a magnification factor that is handled by flash (or java, or whatever) on the user's side.

That might be what happens, because I noticed that even when the page is fully loaded my browser gets slower when it has to scroll past the larger images.

Can't be sure though. Maybe Marcel can explain.

Cheers!

It's a nice feature to know, but I hate the L sized photos because I need the scroll to see them. Better post M in the forum, since that is more convenient for viewing. When I want to see the large version I can simply click on it and voila......
