As you know I'm just begining to enjoy digital photography. My only pieces of equipment are the Sony Cyber-shot 7.2 mega pixel camera, computer and printer/scanner. What's next .Could anyone suggest the next piece of equipment and or software I should get?
Thanks

Hi Scott,
Do you have any image editing software? Photoshop or something similar may help you enhance your creativity after the photo is uploaded to your computer.
Another avenue for creativity is using filters, especially a polarizing filter (most everything else can be added in photoshop). I almost always photograph with a polarizer in front of the lens,
Hope this helps!

Hi Scott,
vahephoto is right ; I recommend you Photofiltre before Photoshop because it's free and has a lot of possibilities. You can try it and perhaps, after, buy a professionnal software.
Perhaps, also, a tripod...
Have pleasure with your camera !

hi scott
i started also with a little sony-cyber-shot camera. after a while i figured ou t that i love to take makro pictures. but with this kind of camera it was not giving the result of what i expected.
it is important for you to know what kind of pictures you wanna make, if you are technicaly interested and when you like to take nightpictures, special pictures... then you should start saving some money for a DSRL camera.... :-)
that is what i did and it was the best idea i ever had! ;-) then you will need lenses, filters, tripod..... it will never stop with the equitment, there is always something new and better you will wanna have
enjoy taking pictures, Bunny

I suggest the Hasselblad H3DII ... and you don't need to spend more money buying other things like software!

Hey Paulo my wife would change my anatomy with a pair of kitchen sheers if she caught me buying something like that.

One tip I could think of what I did was to join a camera club (If there is one near you) where there are all sorts of members, beginners and experienced where everyone can share their experiences and knowledge. The local club where I go does all sorts of activities from competitions, workshops and we also go on fieldtrips to locations where we can take photos and learn from each other.
It took me a while to get use to the club but once I started to get to know members in the club it’s a lot of fun and socializing.
