Hi all,

Great to see the topic is alive, and photo's are added each time. As I told at the beginning of the topic, I'm sure every photographer wants to try this kind of technique once.

Some even already for a long time..

I stumbled upon this nice one by: Chriss

Hope more are added, and lessons learnt!

grtz

No Photoshopping here. The statue and the building were grey, the cloak was red...

Hello! I like these effects if not overdone, though I'm a Purest.( harder than it seems in the photography world.) Photography is looked at as both a skill & an art. These are Art, in my opinion. I have a couple of natural photos that came out with this type of effect because of lighting. I dislike them because it was not the shot I wanted. My children think there cool & hung them in bedrooms. I keep the doors shut. I would like to see a monthly Artistic contest from Woophy which allows for manipulations usually not encouraged. Then I may not be such a ........ about it.

Hi Scoonie,

Try painting in the skin tones on the lads face and hands. I think you will be surprised how effective it will look against the black and white background.

This one is a bit different but it's the same tehnick; at first sight this pick looks quite manipulated, but it is actualy just a face behind the translucent blue scarf...
