For the final touch to my photos, I'd like to be able to 'sign' them, using my own handwriting.
How can I do this without using a stylus and pad? I have a scanner I can use however...
Thanks :)

write it down and scann it. then you can cut the signature of the background by photoshop or a similar programm. make the background transparate and then you can lay it on your picture....
by any questions or if you need some help with it, just send me a mail. i'll help you doing it :-)

Be careful with the signatures, would use some invented signature because if not you are publishing your signature and somebody could use it for non-good things...
Good bye !

I was thinking of using signtures for a certain while, then I tried and did not have much success scanning it so I stopped, but I'm shure it is because I did it wrong

Signatures are sometimes nice to see, the one at the moment I like a lot is from W.Z.
as long as they are not to much present I think it is nice to sign your pictures.

Well, eventually got mine done... Please say what you think - more or less like my typed ones, but I quite like it :)
EDIT: instead of scanning, I thought it might be more appropriate if I took a photo of it!

honestly: i think your signature is to long. it doesn't have to be able to be read. you can use only a few letters witch belong in the name. if i compare it with the one from W.Z.... his is more like a signature for a picture. short and not that destragting

@de stilte: thanks for your kind words.
@evanickelbridger: sorry 2 hear this is not your real name ;-)
could you explain what it means please?
I also think your signature is a wee bit too long, certainly in a low-tone pic like this,
it is allmost overwhelming the delicate appearance of the flowers. (really like the pic btw)
I'm also not sure if it's a good thing to include the year in the pic.
That's another question maybe: I've seen some members include exif-data in the frame.
Allthough I think it's very useful to know about them while looking at the outcome of the recipe, I often perceive these as being distracting. EDIT: now I look at it, so are my pic-titles maybe?

@www. Thanks for your suggestion... Not really sure what to shorten it down to, ENBr maybe better? Or maybe type in Evanickelbridger into the bottom right of the frame in small delicate black lettering?
@WZ Thanks for your post (and your comment - I see it's just come through :) ), Evanickelbridger is a mixture of the 4 rock bands that form the foundations of my love of rock. EVAnescence, NICKELback, alter BRIDGE, and seetheR (last one is pathetic I know!)
So, nothing artistic, just my favourite rock bands? Surprised? :-p
I'll have a look into redoing the signature, maybe doing ENBr, or perhaps maybe my initials...
As for the date, please say why you think its not a good thing? Does it tie it down?
Thanks for the comments!

Well, I'm trying this one? Might still be too long...

Try to put the signature in the frame, paint it black.
Let´s see.

EBNr looks short and strong enough to me!
I prefer the white one in the actual pic.
Maybe - just imo ofcourse - it looks even better if you put it on in a v small angle. let's say 3° or 4° ccw-rotation.

Hmm, I'm not sure which I like best - but I agree it looks better as ENBr :)

I hate signatures on photos because in general they are very distracting. Of course when I are an "And Warhol" of photography that makes a difference.

Would you suggest that I change all of my old photos to include the new signature? I'm not happy with the font in some, so I'm thinking of just a small ENBr in the corner.
Thanks for your help :)
