Hello!
I was having fun with my camera and decided to take pics of a bottle of oil with hot peppers in it: here is the result:

my best pic:

What do you think???

Please I accept critics and would espetially like to know how to improve the light splash in the middle (from the flash), without loosing the brightness.

thank you

hi devish
you are right, the flash is desturbing
try and take the same picture with a tripod, longer apperture, no flash.... just some extern light.
i think it would look very special if the light would be set right or left behind the glass!

greetings Bunny

Thanks for the info...yes, I agree with you, The place I took the picture was improvised, on a shelf with a white piece of paper under it, I wasn't really able to put good lighting there.

About the trypod, I think I will buy one monday, today I went at a shop and looked, It's a simple one, 30€, but I don't need anything fancier for my pictures. It's fine to start with I think, right now I have one of those 5" (15 cm) ones..it is really bad :)

when you buy a tripod, look that it is stabil enough for the camera you are using! i don't know what kind of camera you use, but if it is a dsrl then it is important to have a good quality. if it is a too cheap one, then it is useless because of the heavy camera witch will still move. (i made that mistake... and now i have a useless and a good tripod) it is also good to have some sort of remote. the less you touch the camera while taking a long aperture shoot, the sharper the picture will be ;-)

Yes, I agree Bunny, I looked at it quite carefully and it seemed quite stable, I use a kodak z700, I personally think that one of the camera's defects is the stableness (taking pictures ina dark area without flash is impossible, it really gives bad pics that way), that is one of the reasons why I am buying it.

Thanks.

taking pictures in dark rooms are very difficult anyway... if you use less then 125 for aperture, then it is normal that it is not sharp anymore. with all cameras. it more depends if you have a stady hand or not ;-) i'm a shaker.. ;-)
for this it is important to have tripods. i think for your kodak it is not that expensive to find a tripod witch fits good

(sorry for my bad english today! it is difficult to make a phonecall in german, watching tv in french and writting in english at the same time... it is confusing ;-) )

Hey devish - just saw your conversation.

I have a Kodak Z710 (can't be so different from yours), and I wanted a tripod for my photos (I do a lot of outdoors (lots of wind) and indoors stuff. I really recommend the Manfrotto 190D. Its simple but VERY sturdy and light, and it really pays off with photos, even with such a light camera. It cost me £100 without a bag, which was an additional £25 - and its supposed to last for years.

Happy photography :)

Thanks Evanickelbridger, I saw on internet the tripod and is really nice, unfortunatelly I don't have that knod of money, what I think to buy is this tripod:

http://www.ilfotoamatore.it/SchedaArt.asp?criterio=SO715

the name of it is:
SOLIGOR TREPPIEDE VT-453

Thanks again for the help

Ah well - if you can and will be using it for years to come the Manfrotto will pay it back nicely, however if you're working indoors like with the oil above, this one should be fine.

Cheers!

bought the tripod! it's a ROWI 6082, was quite cheep (30€) and obviously isn't the best you can get, but I think it will work find for me. I'm happy with it.
